How can we help you?
At Lourde’s Cardiology Department Kochi, we provide ongoing evaluation, diagnoses, and treatment for cardiac issues. We provide the following preventive screening tests to check the heart health.
Treadmill test (TMT) –A Treadmill Test is performed on a patient to assess the heart’s response to external stress in a controlled environment. The patient is connected to an ECG and blood pressure monitor. The test is conducted by inducing the stress through exercise using the treadmill. A TMT or cardiac stress test helps your doctor assess how your heart responds when it is pushed.
Electrocardiogram (ECG) – An ECG measures the time intervals and helps the doctor determine how long the electrical wave takes to pass through the heart. The amount of time it takes for a wave to travel from one part of the heart to another provides the doctor with information on whether the electrical activity is slow or normal, irregular or fast.
