We have a well organized emergency department that follows TRIAGE system for admitting patients. Admission areas are categorized as Level I, II, III and IV, according to the severity in 25 beds. A minor OT is provided for attending trauma cases. In addition to these, the department is also equipped with isolation room, procedure room and decontamination area. Each unit is provided with most modern patient care equipments like multipara monitors and central oxygen/suction lines. The emergency area, level I is equipped with defibrillator, ECG machine, pulse oxymeter, intubation set and emergency cash cart. Ultrasound scanning machine is available for emergency use. The department of emergency medicine is recognized to and granted by the NBE. The department manages all types of emergencies with a group of well trained Doctors, CMOs, nurses and paramedical team certified with ACLS & BLS the training courses, round the clock. To the best of its capability the emergency department has reflected the ethos of the Lourdes Hospital philosophy.
