Lourdes Hospital recently inaugurated the department of pediatrics surgery under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Joy M G. It pertains to the surgical care of birth defects and acquired surgical problems of neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Some of the commonly performed surgeries includes Repair of inguinal hernia, undescended testis, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Esophageal Atresia & Tracheoesophageal Fistula, Congenital Hypertrophic Pyloric Stenosis, Correction of Urologic and Genital Anomalies, Intestinal obstruction etc. We are doing laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures for children and neonates. Through awareness and outreach programmes we would like to provide these highly specialized services for the benefit of the public.
