The Department of Emergency Medicine is the face of our hospital. It is the one of fastest evolving branches around the world. The department provides high standards in diagnosing and management of acute and critical aspects of illness and injury affecting all age groups. We treat a full spectrum of medical and surgical emergencies and play a pivotal role in Lourdes health care system, medical education programme and research efforts. Our emergency physicians, DNB residents, nursing staff and paramedics work as a team to provide the best possible treatment in the emergency department.
Emergency Medicine is recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in patient care, training and innovative programmes. We have a full-fledged DNB Residentship programme for training emergency medicine residents, AHA (American Heart Association) accredited programmes and health awareness programmes for the community.
