Lourdes Hospital Blood Bank is a full fledged blood bank with all the facilities required by the government. It is licensed for whole blood and blood components and supported by NACO. The blood bank works round the clock.
Components available are Leuco-reduced RBCs, Platelets, Fresh Frozen plasma and Cryo precipitate. Component preparation is done using an automated blood component separator TASE II . Serological test are done by ELISA/CLIA method. Blood grouping and cross matching are done using gel technology.
Out-reach blood donation camps are organized inorder to provide blood and blood components to all patients in our hospital and near by hospitals
